Not much work completed in January and February. January very cold ground Frozen solid most of the time. February fill the *** fill it Black or Fill it White. We never get a lot of Snow here in the Mersey Valley. I have used up most of the Vegatables still on the Plots. The Japannese Winter Onion Sets have survived the Icey conditions, and the Garlic Bulbs I planted 4" deep are showing now. I have got on with the Digging between the Showers. Half of the growing area now turned over.
Poultry I have sorted out the Cock Chicks from the Pullets, so now we have groups of Rhode Island Reds, Light Sussex, RIR Cock with LS Hens and a Silke Cock with 3 Light Sussex Hens. Most of the Pullets hatched last year are now Laying.
Ducks I set 12 duck eggs in the incubator, only One Hatched and that died so no luck with the Ducks. I am doing some more next week.
Geese One goose Laying. Laid the first egg on St Valantines Day. the two new Geese we Accuired, not laying yet.
Bees. Still got 3 colonies alive one of them very weak.
