04/01/2010, 12:29 PM Flexmore Farm Joined on 07/08/2008 Posts 19 Winter 2009/2010 Like the rest of the country - we have had some heavy snow, making travel difficult and farming a much longer. Defrosting the water troughs and milking parlour adds an extra 2 hours work to the day. With sales at the farmer's market going down due to freezing cold/rain/snow we have decided to give Farm Experience holidays in our log cabin on the farm. One can be found on ebay no doubt as you read this. The other idea we had is to invest in an ecommerce site, Our best quote for sending meat is £7.99 so far for up to 20Kg but will have to also allow for packaging costs. The nanny goats we purchased in November are showing signs of their pregnancy - one looks huge, probably triplets! And we think that our new farm stockman's dog has managed to get our border collie in pup. Easter is going to be a busy time on the farm.    Report
