poorly rabbit
I have a male rabbit who's about 8 years old, the last week or so ive noticed what looks like thick dandruff on his back. I went to brush him recently and his fur was coming out and he ended up with a bald patch, this didnt seem to cause him any discomfort and seems ok in himself.Any ideas please? thanks
If the rabbit is otherwise well, it is most likely mange due to Cheyletiella mites. They can infest people as well, so you want to be careful! It would be best to take him to your vet for treatment, as the stuff you can get in pet shops is either ineffective or potentially toxic to rabbits.
Just realised your message is a few weeks old, so you've probably sorted the problem by now!
