The sick hen I told you about last week is better. I gave her a shot of Baytril (antibiotic), and continued with the massaging of the crop, and syringing water into the crop, and slowly she got better. She is back down with the others now.
Its good to get a positive result, as so often in my line of business, results can be negative.
Talking of positive results... Snowy. She is going great guns now. We had to get the Equine vet in to file her teeth, and then we found she had a huge ulcer in the back of her mouth which prevented her from eating properly. She started to lose a lot of weight, and at at 30 years old plus, this can't be a good thing.
Anyway we have been feeding her a sloppy mixture, and she is now back on to 'cool and cooked' twice a day, aswell as grass, and is at last putting on a bit of weight again. The ulcer has cleared up and she is going great guns. I do love her.
